Tilbage i 1999 stormede Troy Duffy Hollywood som et lyn fra en klar himmel.
Fra den ene dag til den anden, gik Duffy fra at være ukendt håbefuld med et manuskript til det næste store håb i Hollywood.
Miramax gav denne rookie 2 millioner dollars for hans manus, gav ham lov til at instruere filmen selv og ikke nok med det, de købte endda hans pub til ham.
Mens gik et eller andet galt og mange, inklusiv mig selv, troede aldrig han ville arbejde i Hollywood igen.
Hvad der helt præcist skete er svært at sige men hvis man er interesseret, kan man få én side af sagen i dokumentarfilmen Overnight.
Boondock Saints, der næsten blev overskygget af al balladen, gik hen og fik et pænt lille kult-følge.
Det syntes jeg nødvendigvis ikke at den fortjente, men det var da en underholdende actionfilm hjulpet af et par gode præstationer.
Det er derforlige så meget af ren nysgerrighed at jeg ser frem til Troy Duffys længe ventede efterfølger, er Hollywood gået glip af noget de sidste 10 år eller skulle Duffy bare være blevet væk?
